CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR DISINFECTION

In addition to a vast array of detergents and cleaning/disinfecting equipment, common chemicals used for disinfection include: alcohol, chlorine, and chlorine compounds, formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, hydrogen peroxide, iodophors, ortho-phthalaldehyde, peracetic acid, phenolics, and quaternary ammonium compounds. An ideal product would be effective against all bacteria, spores, viruses, and prions while having no impact on the environment and being completely safe as well as easy to use.

DID YOU KNOW?

Consumer Reports that the authors of the Journal of Hospital Infection study noted that human coronaviruses could be “efficiently inactivated” on surfaces within one minute if they’re cleaned even with 0.5% hydrogen peroxide.

Wesol Mist HP 7.6% containing Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) is manufactured using a technology that ensures a synergistic blend of commonly used, safe ingredients that when combined with low levels of hydrogen peroxide dramatically increase its germicidal potency and cleaning performance. It has proven microbicidal, bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and sporicidal activity.

  • No activation required
  • Enhanced Cleaning: Superior removal of organic matter
  • No disposal issues
  • Environmentally Safe: Completely Biodegradable
  • Odour-free: No odour, no irritation formula
  • Potentially non-toxic: Harmless when handled with care
  • Inactivates Cryptosporidium: Unique to Wesol Mist
  • 0% Alcohol: Non-corrosive

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT STERILIZATION & DISINFECTION

Medical devices are used in high-risk environments. Some devices are exposed to infectious pathogens, or directly to patients’ bloodstream and each device requires a different amount of sterilization and disinfection.

  1. CRITICAL CARE DEVICES STERILISATION

Devices in this category include anything that comes into contact with sterile body tissues and fluids, such as internal organs or the cardio-vascular system. This includes surgical equipment, catheters, and implants.

USAGE: Sterilise using undiluted Wesol Mist solution for a contact time of 30mins

  1. SEMI&NON-CRITICAL DEVICES

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), hundreds of millions of people worldwide are affected every year by avoidable infections in health care (HAI – healthcare-associated infections). An unnecessarily large number of HAIs come as a consequence of handling contaminated medical equipment and medical devices.

Disinfect the medical devices and equipment using Hydrogen peroxide. It leaves no residue and is environmentally friendly, leaving behind more oxygen in the air post-disinfection. Hence, it is the best substitute to alcohol-based disinfectants.

Usage: Add 2.5 parts distilled water to 1-part Wesol Mist to obtain a desired disinfectant solution. Spray on surfaces and wipe after a few minutes.

Several studies showed that patients were much more likely to contract certain pathogens if the patient in the room before them was colonized or infected with a pathogen. Though even the best-trained people are prone to error, machines never skip any steps. Automated or semi-automated room disinfection is not to replace personnel, but to raise the bar on the standard of disinfection. Use the Wesol Mist fog for disinfecting and preventing air-borne transmission in commonly used medical facility rooms like operation theatre, radiology labs, and pathology lab.

USAGE:  Add 1-part distilled water to 2 parts Wesol mist to obtain the desired concentration of a solution. Use this solution for fogging
