Fogging using Humidifiers and Fumigators

WHAT IS FOGGING?

Fogging is the process of covering an object or area with condensed vapor for the purposes of decontamination. Hydrogen peroxide fogging is a decontamination method where aerosolized hydrogen peroxide is released into an enclosed area.

WHY USE FOOD-GRADE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN FOGGING?

The most common commercially available are chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite, or alcohol-based products, but they are very dangerous to human and pet health and damage the environment. To avoid these toxic products the best practice would be to use Wesol Mist 7.6% containing food grade hydrogen peroxide which is 100% biodegradable and does not leave any residue after cleaning.

HOW EFFECTIVE IT IS?

Aerosolized hydrogen peroxide’s antimicrobial properties are able to target pathogens on a molecular level, eliminating viruses, bacteria, fungus, and other microbes. Because of the aerosol’s ability to get into all the nooks and crannies of space and attack pathogens at such a base level, H2O2 fogging is the most efficient and effective way to decontaminate an enclosed environment, leaving it nearly 100 percent sterile.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM MANUAL CLEANING?

Although manual cleaning and disinfection can be qualitatively as good as machine automated disinfection, they are time-consuming and requires a larger number of trained personnel to clean and disinfect the same area covered by fogging devices. Automated room disinfection with hydrogen peroxide vapor or ultraviolet light has shown promising results in targeting specific microorganisms.

WHERE CAN WE USE FOGGING DEVICES?

  1. WHOLE ROOM DISINFECTION IN INDUSTRIES

End of production cleaning and disinfection is the only way to prevent contamination by a wide spectrum of microbes. Whole room disinfection enables difficult-to-reach places to be thoroughly disinfected. In high-risk food factories, thorough disinfection of surfaces is required to reduce the number of micro-organisms and to prevent transmission of potential contaminants. The belief is that regular use of novel

disinfection techniques that can decontaminate the whole area will further reduce the number of environmental micro-organisms, which will, in turn, improve the quality of the food being produced, thereby reducing wastage and increasing profitability.

DID YOU KNOW?

Wesol Mist 7.6% kills Listeria monocytogenes, a microbe that is a big challenge for the Food Industry.

  1. MEDICAL FACILITY DISINFECTION

Keeping hospitals clean is a crucial patient safety issue. Several studies showed that patients were much more likely to contract certain pathogens if the patient in the room before them was colonized or infected with a pathogen. Though even the best-trained people are prone to error, machines never skip any steps. Automated or semi-automated room disinfection is not to replace personnel, but to raise the bar on the standard of disinfection.

  • Operation Theatres
  • Radiology Lab
  • Pathology Lab
  1. HOTEL ROOM DISINFECTION

The current pandemic has made it necessary more than ever for Hotels and Hospitality businesses to ensure customer safety, health and hygiene.

Wesol Mist is surely a go-to product for these purposes. Use it in your fogging devices for Air disinfection in dining areas and room

  1. FOGGING IN BUSINESS SPACES

It’s really important to Fogg and disinfect your business spaces especially because of a growing trend in air-borne diseases.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE TO BE TAKEN?

  • Stop any activity in the area before fogging.
  • All personal follow entry and exit procedures.
  • Windows and doors should be closed. AC and AHU should be switch off before starting fumigation or fogging.

Status label ‘Area under fumigation or fogging, “do not enter” shall be fixed on either side of the entrance.
