HYDROGEN PEROXIDE: A PLANET AND LIFE-FRIENDLY ALTERNATIVE

Hydrogen Peroxide is one of the simplest members of the peroxide family having applications ranging from surface cleaning and disinfection to Hydroponics, pest control, etc. There has been enough amount of academic publishing and blogs on using Hydrogen peroxide as a bio-degradable alternative to our cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting needs. It does not leave any residue, just decomposes into water and Oxygen.

How does a catalyst make Hydrogen Peroxide's decomposition quicker? What is actually happening? | Socratic

Hydrogen peroxide is most commonly available as a solution in water. For consumers, it is usually available from pharmacies. Being an ‘oxygen bleach’ it does not contain chlorine but two oxygen atoms connected by a single bond are the active agents of the bleach. But we just can’t use this ordinary peroxide for our disinfecting or other uses as they have a very short shelf life and is not free from toxic stabilizers.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Chlorine bleach is toxic to aquatic life if released straight into surface water, it is also harmful to the essential bacteria in septic tanks.

FOOD GRADE ACCELERATED HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

  • Safe ingredients that when combined with low levels of hydrogen peroxide dramatically increase its germicidal potency and cleaning performance. It has proven microbicidal, bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and sporicidal activity.
  • No activation required
  • Enhanced Cleaning: Superior removal of organic matter
  • No disposal issues
  • Environmentally Safe: Completely Biodegradable
  • Potentially non-toxic: Harmless when handled with care
  • Inactivates Cryptosporidium: Unique to Wesol Mist
  • 0% Alcohol: Non-corrosive
  • Easy-to-use: Liquid form

KEY REMARKS FROM COMMON DISINFECTANTS FOR SURFACES THAT QUALIFY AGAINST COVID 19.

  • Bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite)- Harmful for Health – free chlorine can cause irritation to the mucous system causing suffocating and also redness of eyes. Excessive washing is required post use.
  • Formaldehyde, Glutaraldehyde commonly used for fumigation- Carcinogenic – Cancer-causing agent. highly toxic and irritating to human touch. Causes stains on the skin.
  • Alcohol (common surface and glass cleaners)- Evaporates easily need more reuse time.
